Koenigsegg Jesko Up For Auction for the First Time Ever: Mecum Monterey 2026

The Koenigsegg Jesko is a very rare hypercar: just 125 units will be built worldwide, split between the Attack and Absolut variants. Rarer still is the chance to buy one in public. Since the Jesko was unveiled in 2019, not a single example has been sold at auction anywhere in the world, and the very few that have traded hands off-market have commanded strong prices well away from public view. Meet chassis #7302, the first Jesko ever offered at auction, heading to Mecum's Monterey auction in California on August 15, 2026. For the first time, the Jesko market will have a public result to measure itself against.

The Jesko is the most advanced hypercar Koenigsegg has ever put on the road. It is powered by a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Sending that power to the rear wheels is Koenigsegg’s proprietary Light Speed Transmission, a nine-speed gearbox described by Jesko owners as the car’s best feature. Rather than shifting up or down through the gears in sequence, the LST can jump directly to whichever ratio the car needs, with no delay in between. Koenigsegg calls it "Ultimate Power on Demand," and it is exactly that: ask for acceleration at any speed, in any gear, and it is simply there. It creates a thrilling driving experience that will plaster a smile on your face unlike any other car.

Chassis #7302 is a Jesko Attack, the downforce-focused of the two variants. Where the Absolut was built to chase outright top speed with its bodywork smoothed and its rear wing deleted, the Attack keeps the enormous active wing, making it a road-legal track weapon. The wing can sustain over 3,000 lbs of downforce, enough to support a black Rhino! This Jesko produces 1,280hp, the standard output for the Jesko Attack, enough to propel it to approximately 280mph (450km/h).

This Jesko is finished in Purple-tinted Carbon Fiber, a single option costing a staggering $346,100. There are only seven Jeskos in the world finished in purple carbon, and this is the sole example in US-spec. The car has Yolk Yellow striping, specifically the Apex Stripe, Slingshot Stripe, Pebble Beach Stripes, Trails Stripes, and Engelholm Fins. The car wears ultra-lightweight Aluminium wheels and has accent-matched Yolk Yellow Carbon Ceramic Brake Calipers. The car is also optioned with both the centre “Slipstream” stripe and Rear Air Intakes in Clear Carbon. Like all Jeskos, the front splitter, side skirts, and rear wing are fully exposed naked carbon.

The interior of this Jesko is primarily Cream Alcantara which adorns the seats, back wall, and roof, and features contrasting yellow stitching in the Drift Pattern. The attention to detail is impressive, with French Cross Stitching optioned around the perimeter of the seats, as well as the Koenigsegg crest embroidered on the headrests. The centre console and dash are finished in Desiato (Black) Alcantara, a smart choice to prevent reflections on the windshield. The key holder, shifter, and 12 O’Clock stripe are all finished in Yellow Leather, a nice piece of continuity from the exterior.

This example was delivered new to Manhattan Motorcars, the authorized Koenigsegg dealer in New York City, in 2026. It is being sold with 177 miles on the odometer. It is one of the highest-specced Jesko Attacks in the United States, with extensive carbon options and painted stripes adding approximately $500,000 to the base price. It is notably the first Jesko to ever come up at auction, a testament to Mecum’s increasing share of the highest echelons of the hypercar auction space. Collectors across the world will be watching closely, and bidding, on August 15th.

The Jesko market around the world has continued to climb substantially above sticker prices, with an especially strong nascent market in the United States.
