About Us

Back in 2009, Matt Sexton founded ‘The Unofficial Koenigsegg Registry’. Written by enthusiasts, the Koenigsegg Registry served as the premiere hub for Koenigsegg news and information. Over the years, the Koenigsegg Registry became a place where enthusiasts, owners, and employees alike could learn, research and look up information about Sweden’s finest cars. After over a decade of dedication to the meticulous research and registry of every car to leave the Ängelholm factory, it was decided by the team of volunteers behind the website that an overhaul and modernization was needed.

Enter: Egg Registry. Egg Registry is the direct successor to the original Koenigsegg Registry and serves to carry the enthusiast passion of the Koenigsegg brand into the future. With the blessing and assistance of the original Koenigsegg Registry team, the torch has been passed to a new generation of Koenigsegg enthusiasts, each dedicated to the continued meticulous documentation of every Koenigsegg. Egg Registry, comprised of an international and multicultural team, continues the legacy of the Koenigsegg Registry and is dedicated to providing easily accessible and highly detailed information about each and every Koenigsegg. As before, the registry of Koenigseggs remains front and centre for Egg Registry. Our team of volunteers researches and curates entries on every vehicle, constantly working to expand and improve the database. In addition, Egg Registry includes news articles pertaining to the latest about Koenigsegg as well as long-form blog content in the form of trip reports, storytelling, and interviews.

Naturally, Egg Registry is and always will be a work in progress. With every new Koenigsegg, the registry will expand. Thus, we invite you to join our mailing list and check back regularly for the most up-to-date news and information. Please note that Egg Registry, like the Unofficial Koenigsegg Registry before it, is run by a group of volunteers whom are unaffiliated with Koenigsegg Automotive AB.

Who We Are

  • Matt Sexton

    Founder - Koenigsegg Registry

Matt became fascinated by Koenigsegg while researching them for a work project in early 2009. At the time, accurate information on the cars was not easy to come by. Thus, he founded the Registry on April 6, 2009 as a way to catalog and document Koenigsegg production for enthusiasts worldwide. In mid-2013 he built a dedicated website for the Registry, providing the basis for this site today.

Matt saw his first Koenigsegg in person in August 2009, CCX #7046, and it remains his favourite, with Agera #7137 “Draken” being a close second. He attended the Agera RS world record attempt in Nevada in 2017.

Matt was born in 1970 and lives in Illinois, USA, with his wife and daughter. He works in the auto parts industry and has a collection of what he calls “random crap” in his garage.

  • Mika Bains

    Co-Founder - Egg Registry

Mika discovered Koenigsegg at the debut of the Agera RS. Though later to join the enthusiast community than others, he has quickly become incredibly dedicated to the brand. He spends his time running the Koenigsegg Jesko Registry Instagram account and meticulously researching Koenigseggs, and is the creator of this website, Egg Registry!

His favourite Koenigsegg is chassis #7082, the Agera R+. He has seen 56 Koenigseggs in person around the world and is always hunting more

Born in Canada, Mika recently lived in Sweden and made frequent visits to the Koenigsegg factory. He is in charge of the Jesko Registry and is thrilled to finally see customer deliveries.

  • Nils Rodemer

    Co-Founder - Egg Registry

Nils’ passion for the Koenigsegg brand started when he first watched the documentary “Apex: The Story of the Hypercar”. Later, when he saw the CCX Edition chassis #7058 at the Nürburgring, Nils was hooked.

Since then, he has been heavily involved with the community, having founded the Ghost Squadron social media community and dedicating himself to creating the most comprehensive archive of Koenigsegg‘s with his brother. Lars.

His favourite Koenigseggs are the infamous CCGT (chassis #7012) and the Agera Final “One of 1” (chassis #7121), which resides in his home country of Germany.

  • Lars Rodemer

    Co-Founder - Egg Registry

Lars has been interested in cars since he was a child and first learned about Koenigsegg in Autoquartett, a German card game. Over time, he learned more and more about the outstanding technology and craftsmanship in Koenigsegg cars and was truly amazed.

Then, he began collecting and cataloguing information about each and every car, down to the meticulous details. He has run the Ghost Squadron social media community alongside his brother, Nils, for almost five years and is thus a very active member of the Koenigsegg enthusiast community.

Lars‘ favourite Koenigsegg is CCR chassis #7011, painted in Lava Orange.

  • Juno Liljekvist

Juno joined the Koenigsegg Registry team in early 2016 as a researcher and has been responsible for the Facebook page since 2020. She continues this research and social media position with Egg Registry.

Her interest in Koenigsegg was sparked by a 2004 article with CCR #7009 in Swedish car magazine Bilsport, and she has been an active part of the Koenigsegg community since 2014.

Juno saw her first Koenigsegg, CCR #7014, in 2010, and has since seen around 60 Eggs! Her favourite chassis is a tossup between CCR #7014 in its Evolution spec, or Regera #7126 in its pre-conversion Candy Apple Red spec.

Juno was born in 1995 and lives just a couple of hours north of the Koenigsegg factory in Sweden with her girlfriend and their four cats.

  • Prashanth Swaminathan

Prashanth joined the Koenigsegg Registry team in 2014 as a researcher and "Agera" specialist.

His interest in Koenigsegg was sparked in 2011 when the Agera Prototype chassis #077 made an appearance in New Delhi, India!

In 2012, he found himself in the homeland of Koenigsegg as he pursued a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Linköping University! The cold and dark winter nights were used fruitfully to research Koenigsegg and that's how Prashanth stumbled upon the original Koenigsegg Registry.

Prashanth managed Koenigsegg-related Social Media pages actively from 2016 until 2021. He has seen over 40 Koenigseggs in person, including his personal favourite Agera R #7080, and has participated in two Ghost Squadron Koenigsegg Owner's Events. Today, he resides in India and works at Daimler Trucks Innovation Center India as a R&D Engineer.

  • Jey Cee

A Koenigsegg veteran through and through, Jey has been researching Koenigsegg since the early days. A longtime Koenigsegg Registry contributor, his efforts in collecting data and authoring writeups have been invaluable to the tracking the history of Koenigsegg.

He collected information and wrote entries for over one hundred cars on the original Koenigsegg Registry, and his dedicated efforts continue to this day.

Further, he was the person who first proved that the October 2020 production car top speed world record attempt by the SSC Tuatara with a claimed speed of 331mph was fraudulent. He analyzed satellite data of the Nevada highway where the attempt took place and cross-referenced it with the video posted by SSC, allowing him to mathematically prove that the car did not break the record and, consequently, that the Agera RS still held the title. His work was later broadcast in the mainstream by other media sources and automotive personalities, though without due credit.
