General History

Chassis #7143 is one of the most historically significant Agera RS ever produced. Built for an US customer, the car became world-famous after serving as Koenigsegg's official record car. On 1 October 2017, it set the production car 0–400–0 km/h record in 36.44 seconds at Vandel, Denmark. Just over a month later, on 4 November 2017, the car travelled to Pahrump, Nevada, where it not only improved its own 0–400–0 km/h record to 33.87 seconds, but also established the production car top speed record with a two-way average of 277.87 mph (446.97 km/h), alongside several other records.

Following its achievements, the car began appearing at automotive events across North America, including the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and an event in Vancouver later that year. Since then, it regularly attended Monterey Car Week, Dream Ride, Cars and Coffee gatherings, the Las Vegas Concours, and numerous other events throughout the United States.

From September 2021 until December 2022, the car temporarily wore a full-body art wrap titled Pomegranate, created by artist James Jean to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Festival of Children Foundation. The artwork depicted a woman using the juice of a pomegranate as makeup. Following the conclusion of the exhibition, the wrap was removed, returning the car to its original appearance.

The car currently resides in California and wears the license plate "277MPH", commemorating its world-record top speed.

Exterior Spec

The car is finished in a beautiful shade of burgundy red and features numerous exposed carbon fibre components, including the centre section, front splitter, aerodynamic winglets, side skirts, rear diffuser, wing mirrors, rear wing and of course the AirCore Carbon wheels. Between 2021 and 2022, it wore the unique Pomegranate art wrap by James Jean before being returned to its original red exterior.

Interior Spec

The interior is upholstered in black leather with contrasting red stitching throughout, creating a classic specification that complements the exterior. Although relatively restrained in appearance, the cabin is forever associated with one of the most important chapters in Koenigsegg's history, having been the cockpit from which the Agera RS established multiple production car world records in 2017.
