CC Static Model

VIN: N/A

Country: Sweden

General History

This is the design study for what would become the CC Pre-production prototype #7XX1. It was first shown in Swedish car magazine Teknikens Värld in 1998. It started life as a clay model in 1:1 scale, but was made into a static model with a fibreglass shell and a steel chassis underneath.

The car is on display at the car museum ‘Autoseum’ in Simrishamn, Sweden.

Exterior Spec

The body of this static model is, similarly to “The Plug”, a fibreglass shell with no actual window glass, only black painted areas where the windows should be.

In the Teknikens Värld article, the body was painted a solid red. However, it was soon repainted to a blue metallic. It received a few minor updates over time, such as the rear side marker lights disappearing, and decals were put on to make the rear and sides look more like the CCR accent panels. The model is sitting on the same wheels as “The Plug”, which are a set of five-spoke wheels.

Interior Spec

There is no interior in this model since its body is a fiberglass shell.

Engine & Chassis Spec

The chassis is a simple steel chassis holding up the body and wheels. It does have steering on the front wheels, which is operated via a hole in the back that you can stick a steering wheel into. It has no engine, and in fact even the “exhaust tip” at the center of the rear bumper is simply a piece of plastic!
