Revenge from the flames: The rebirth of Koenigsegg Jesko Nür one year later
On June 15, 2024, videos of a car engulfed in flames on the side of a Greek highway quickly went viral on social media. Sadly, the silhouette of the car on fire was unmistakeable: it was a Koenigsegg Jesko. Specifically, it was Jesko “Nür Edition”, which was in Greece participating in the 6to6 Motor Rally.
The incident quickly resulted in a Do Not Drive Order (DNDO) being issued by Koenigsegg to all Jesko owners pending an investigation. It was determined that a faulty pressurized hydraulic hose caused the disaster and the company crafted fixes to prevent it from occurring again. In a classy decision, Koenigsegg ensured that the owner would be made whole with a new Jesko crafted to replace the destroyed car.
One year later, that promise was fulfilled. Meet Jesko “Nür Revenge”!
Built from a brand new chassis, Nür Revenge is a near-clone of its predecessor. On the most basic level, the car has a completely new VIN. The original Jesko Nür Edition was YT9PR1R11RA007358, note the 10th digit “R” indicating a 2024 model year. The new car has a 2025 model year (10th digit “S”) and wears VIN YT9PR1R10SA007583. It is unclear if the chassis numbers using the same four digits (7358 and 7583) is intentional or mere coincidence.
Most of the spec has been left unchanged, but there are a few small differences.
Like the original, the entire body of the car is Koenigsegg Naked Carbon (KNC). The car has gold and gold leaf accents, including the Geneva Fins. The rear diffuser has gold leaf on the outer tips, and the badging (Koenigsegg crest, Jesko badge, and Ghost badge) are all finished in gold.
One notable difference is found on the wing endplates. On Jesko Nür Edition, only the upper half of each wing endplate was finished with gold leaf. On Nür Revenge, the entire wing endplate has gold leaf. This gold leaf has the ghost logo embossed within it, which is undoubtedly one of the coolest details that Koenigsegg offers.
Continuing, the car wears AirCore Carbon wheels and has gold brake calipers. The Carbon Wing Mirrors have also been optioned, topping off the full-carbon look.
The interior is Desiato Alcantara with gold stitching. The new name of the car, Nür Revenge, is written on the passenger dash.
This car was delivered via Swiss dealer Carage Luzern and promptly travelled to Andorra for registration. Since then, the owner has driven it lots, including on the 2025 edition of Supercar Owner’s Circle in Sardinia, Italy, where we had the incredible chance to see the car up close and hear it do flying laps around a race track.
Congratulations to the owner for taking delivery of this incredible machine and finally ending the incredible saga of Jesko Nür. Revenge has been had!
